Touring D.C.

The past five days, our family of three traveled to Washington for a much needed family vacation. This is actually our first time to go out of state and first time to be in Washington, D.C. and we had a great time.  Here are a few favorites. You can see more photos HERE.

Travel Tips:

If you are staying outside of D.C., a hotel that is a walking distance to a Metro station will be your best choice. Parking can be a pain and traffic is really bad.

Bring a pair of good walking shoes.

There is so much to see and do in D.C., five to seven days is a good start.

Be sure to visit the Library of Congress, that place is gorgeous! I won’t blame you if you decide to stay there for a day.

If touring the White House, schedule it months in advance.
