As I was finishing up my Tangled Beauty blog post, my daughter called me for what she said another photo opportunity. And it sure was something not to be missed. Who would say no to rainbows?
As I ran out to our front porch with my DLSR camera and smartphone in hand, the dark clouds and the pretty strong and howling winds scared me. The threat of what could be a bad storm terrified me.
But what about the rainbow? Aren’t rainbows supposed to appear after a storm?
Aren’t we like that? In the midst of troubles and storms in our life, we focused so much on the dark clouds that we fail to notice the rainbow that appears along side it.
for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Most times, God wanted us to not focus on the dark clouds but rather on the strong winds and the not so visible rainbow.
Many times, we missed His promise. Promises of nothing but love and companionship.
And the strong and howling winds that I was so terrified of, it blew the dark clouds away.
And behind it appear the full rainbow that He promised.
Have you missed seeing your rainbows lately? It’s not all about the storms.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
God is in the midst of all our storms….
