It’s a rainy (gloomy in a way) Friday. More often than not, rainy days always make me feel gloomy. It’s weather for staying home. And I am at work, so…
But today, I find the rain to be a relief. I find it calming and beautiful. And the sound of it is like music to my ears.
I am reminded of how great our God is.
Why?
Because…
He always finds a way to speak to me in ways I never expected.
Have you ever had that moment?
In our ever growing busyness, ever growing need for validation; for success and accomplishments, a world where everyone and everything seems to always be moving, I find solace and comfort in the rain.
I realize that God – no matter how and what our circumstances are – he always find ways for us to see him, feel him.
It made me see that in our need for answers to our prayers, spoken or unspoken, God is always listening. His answers may not be what we wanted and expected, but I truly believe that it’s what is warranted, that there is always a good reason for it. We may not see it at the moment but will be revealed at His chosen time.
At times when we don’t understand why things happen, it’s easier to put our trust in God who knows us better. He whose plans are always better than ours.
Today, I find comfort in the rain and in knowing that our God is a loving, caring, forgiving and unapologetically accepting Father.
Most times, we just don’t let ourselves see Him.
Find Him.
He is everywhere.
Until next time,
