What’s Your Truth?

Even WordPress was excited about my three day posting streak!

Who wouldn’t after many months of silence?

I’m hoping that this will just be the start of many.

Now let’s get real.

Does the truth hurt your feelings or ego?

I think accepting the truth is the hardest pill to swallow.

If you saw something that spoke truth, would you continue to read it or pretend that you didn’t see it?

What if you heard someone spoke the truth, would you willingly accept it or argue about it?

Truth comes in many different levels and forms.

There’s the truth that hits a nerve that makes us angry and defensive.

There’s the truth that makes us feel seen and heard.

There’s truth that sounds more like criticism.

Regardless of the levels and forms the truth is expressed at, we as individuals – we process it according to our needs and wants at the moment. Thus, we miss the actual truth.

We accept it is as how it fits in our lives.

Is that a good or a bad thing?

Well, what do you think?

We as humans tend to see things and truth as how we want to hear and see it, instead of accepting what it actually means.

This is what I want to hear and see, instead of, this is actually what’s happening and what the person was saying.

Does it do us more harm than good?

Well, you guess it.

That’s up to you to decide.

After all, it’s your truth.
