A human being is a single being. Unique and unrepeatable. Eileen Caddy
Isn’t it strange that I find this halfway bloom beautiful? I have shots of the same Azalea plant with flowers in full bloom and yet this one caught my eye.
Have you ever considered yourself peculiar at times? I’d like to use the words, out of the ordinary. I’m not saying I’m special, just different. Different in a way that I see things differently. What could be ordinary to some can be extra ordinary to me. What I find relaxing, could be boring to you. Most times, I see blooms instead of weeds.
My great mistake, the fault for which I can’t forgive myself is that one day I ceased my obstinate pursuit of my own individuality. Oscar Wilde
Let the world know you as you are, not as you think you should be, because sooner or later, if you are posing, you will forget the pose, and then where are you? Fanny Brice
I am different. I look at isolation as a relief. And yet, I love seeing people in their most unguarded moments. When they think no one is looking. When I look at people, I don’t see someone who is black or brown or white. I see someone who is just like me. Someone who is probably wanting to be seen as he is. Someone who is hoping to be treated the same way I want to be treated. Someone who is doing his best to find his place in this selfish, cruel and judgmental world that we live in.
I am different. I long for real conversations. One that is void of judgment. One that doesn’t talk about other people. One that long to hear how my day was, and actually listen. One that talks about everyday life, unspoken dreams, disappointments big and small, and of course…love. I want to share laughter with you. Yes, even tears. To me, this is what real conversation is about.
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. Henry David Thoreau
I am different. But I am me.
