If God could whisper one truth into the soul of every person on Earth, what do you think He would say?
I’ve sat with that question often—especially in moments when life is heavy, confusing, or just incredibly human. And though I don’t pretend to know the fullness of God’s mind, Scripture and the life of Jesus offer a breathtaking picture of what He wants us to know about Him. Not facts. Not fear. But the kind of knowing that reaches the heart.
Here’s what I believe God longs for humanity to understand more deeply about who He is:
“I am not distant—I am near.”
We often imagine God as far off—watching from the heavens, uninvolved in the details. But that’s not His nature. From the first breath of creation to the quiet cradle in Bethlehem, He’s been a God who draws close.
God is near in our mess. Near in our questions. Near in our heartbreak. He is Emmanuel—God with us, not just in theory, but in the thick of our lives.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18
“I want relationship, not performance.”
Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing we had to earn God’s love. That if we just prayed enough, did enough, were good enough—then He’d be pleased.
But God isn’t after our perfection; He’s after our hearts. He doesn’t require performance; He desires connection. He welcomes the honest, the weary, the unsure. Because love—not duty—is what He’s always been about.
“I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.” – Hosea 6:6
“You are more loved than you can comprehend.”
We are loved. Not because we got everything right. Not because we’re especially strong or special. But because He is love.
God’s love isn’t fragile. It’s not something we can lose by stumbling or struggling. It’s the kind of love that stays. That carries. That whispers, “You still belong,” even when we feel like we don’t.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” – Jeremiah 31:3
“My ways are higher, but my heart is for you.”
Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect. We pray, we hope, we wait—and sometimes, we don’t understand the answers we get.
But God isn’t absent in the unknown. His silence doesn’t mean indifference. His delays aren’t rejection. He sees the entire picture—and though we may not understand His ways, we can trust His heart.
“‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord.” – Isaiah 55:8
“You matter to Me.”
In a world that often shouts that we have to be someone to be seen, God gently reminds us: You already are.
You don’t need a platform, a title, or a perfect life to matter. Your quiet faith, your daily sacrifices, your silent tears—they are all seen. Known. Treasured.
“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God… you are worth more than many sparrows.” – Luke 12:6-7
Maybe today, what your soul needs most isn’t another answer—but a reminder:
God is near.
He wants your heart, not your performance.
You are deeply loved.
His ways are mysterious, but His heart is good.
And yes—you matter.
If He could whisper just one thing to you today, it might be this:
“I see you. I’m not going anywhere. And I love you more than you know.”
Until next time,
