Bucket List

“Wander often, wonder always.”

If you are going to ask me what’s the number one thing in my bucket list. It is to travel. I would like to see and go to as many different places as I could with my little family. I would like to take lots and lots of photos and make memories….be quiet and just be still.

Second on my bucket list, I want to do a photo exhibit of all my work and publish a coffee table book of all my favorite photos.

“I love places that make you realize how tiny, you and your problems are.”

The travelling part, I am slowly making it happen. Every year, we go to some place we’ve never been, whether here in North Carolina or in another state. And I can tell you that it’s one of the best things that I’ve ever done for myself.

As for the book, well….it’s still in the list. How soon it will become a reality, I have no idea. I know, I have to make it happen and that I have to make time for it, but since I will be the one doing all the work from choosing the photos, edit it as needed, designing the book, etc., I need plenty of time and focus to make it happen. Right now, working five days a week and weekends being busy as well, my mind and heart is just not up to it.

And the photo exhibit? This would be a dream come true if it ever happens. I said IF it ever happens. I don’t like socializing, I don’t like putting myself out there, I lack exposure and don’t know a lot of people. I thought about starting out on local coffee shops and cafes in our area and out of all the people I contacted, only one bothered to reply…talk about encouraging huh?But I know the possibilities are endless and I will make it happen…

I am thinking of what else I could add in here, because, certainly, I can’t have but three?!? Surprise, surprise, I only have three! Aren’t bucket list, just for the big ones? Well, those are the biggest challenges I am giving myself, for now.

And, I will make it happen….

somehow.

What about you, what’s on your bucket list?

“Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.”

Ernest Hemingway
